What is God’s love like? Psalm 36:5-9

We cannot describe the love God has for us, it is beyond human understanding; but He himself gives us the words in scripture.

"Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the great deep. O Lord, you preserve both man and beast. How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in our light we see light."Psalm 36:5 - 9.

MEASURELESS
God’s love is beyond measure it even "Reaches to the heavens..." You can take his love as far as you can go and not reach the boundaries of his love. Human love may let us down, but God's won't.

His love is "faithfulness to the skies." Never will his love be less than true. He is always consistent. His love does not change.

His "righteousness is like the mighty mountains." His love is full of doing and bountiful with right actions on our behalf.

ACTIVE
God's justice is "like a great deep." Deeper than any ocean or cavern of the earth is The Lord's justice. His justice has no compromise. He is just so He will always treats us right

"Preserve both man and beast." The Almighty continues to allow us to draw breath. When we wake up each morning we are indebted to Him for life.

FAITHFUL
His love is greater than all the treasure of the earth, for how "priceless is your unfailing love."

His love is “unfailing”, and nothing can weaken it, it will never let you down.

No one is beyond Our Heavenly Father's love, "Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings." No one is too rich, successful, or powerful for God's love; or too small, too poor, too young, or too weak to experience His Love.

God’s love is a safe haven, we find "Refuge in the shadow of your wings." His love gives intimate love.

HOPE
No matter how big our problems The Lord's love for us is bigger, it is "higher than the heavens."

All the good, the blessings, we have come from God. "They feast...you give them drink..." He blesses us from his "abundance," and his "river of delights." God will not run out of blessings for us.

Now the best, "in your light we see light." We need God to show us His Light. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world." (John 8:12). The most loving thing the Father did was to send his Son to die for our sins so we may know His love, and walk in his light.

In your times of difficulty and hardship remember the words of the verse above that his love reaches to the mountains.
