Where to Look For Perfect Help When You Are In Deep Trouble. Psalm 121:2

Where can you find the real help that you need?

"My help comes from the Lord, which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:2, KJV.

HELP IS COMING
They say the first step to overcoming a problem is to acknowledge its existence. Being human we are weak and as we go through the struggles of this fallen world we often need help; sometimes we& don't get it because we fail to admit that we need help. In this verse, we see someone who not only acknowledges his need for help he is expecting help. It is like he is saying, "Help is on its way, I see it coming from afar." He takes it on faith that since he acknowledged before God his need and asked God for help that help is on its way.

THE LORD IS MY HELP
This person looks to the Lord and says "MY help..." he is making it personal. He doesn't say some sort of relief, or I hope the aid will come, but my help comes. It is not general help but the help he receives is the exact help, customized and tailored for him. We would expect no less from the all-knowing all-powerful God of all things. God knows exactly what help we need and he is able to provide it, often the reason we do not receive help is our own rebellion, refusal, or lack of faith.

Who better to be a helper in times of trouble than the Lord? He is the all-powerful ruler of all things who made heaven and heart, nothing is outside this scope. His command is obeyed by angels, kings, seas, whirlwind, and galaxies. If the Lord is commanding the forces of nature and nations to be the rescue you need then success is certain.

FAITH
The help we receive may not be the help we were looking for, maybe our agenda was not God's. Our plans could be short-sighted dealing only with the present crisis, but God has plans for our good and his plans have eternal consequences. If the help we receive is not what we hoped for then we should still trust God's goodness and his wise will for us. Psalm 121 is an expression of one who is celebrating faith; we should express our faith to the Lord of the Universe. We should take the necessary time to pray to him in detail and open up to him the struggles of your heart.

Look to God, the God of All Help, and you will find the help you need.
